"Prince Harry" Dating Show Set to Fool Women Into Thinking They're Dating Royalty
3/27/2014 9:32:03 AM
Move over, Joe Millionaire. The Fox network now has an even more devious dating show designed to deceive a group of gullible single women.
I Want to Marry Harry is a reality series/cruel practical joke set to air this summer in which 12 single women are fooled into believing they have a chance to get hitched to Prince Harry.
The show uses professional Harry lookalike Matthew Hicks to convince the women they have a shot at love and royalty with William's younger brother.
"Harry" will reveal his true identity only after he's selected one "lucky" lady.
Somewhere, Kate Middleton will be watching and laughing her royal arse off.
I Want to Marry Harry will premiere at 8 p.m. May 27, on Fox.
What do you think? Would you watch?
L'Wren Scott: $9 Million Fortune Left to Mick Jagger
3/27/2014 10:13:47 AM
When L'Wren Scott committed suicide on March 17, rumors abounded that the 49-year-old fashion designer was broke and drowning in debt.
Those rumors were put to rest today as the details of her will - and the giant fortune she left behind - were revealed to the public.
At the time of her death, Scott had been dating Mick Jagger for nearly 13 years and she reportedly left $9 million to the already wealthy Rolling Stones frontman in her will.
In addition to the cash, Scott left Jagger an estimated $1 million in jewelry, clothes and cars.
Her family, meanwhile, receives nothing and the mystery of why this woman who seemed to have everything decided to take her own life only gets deeper.
Man Eats Every Burger King Burger in One Sitting
3/27/2014 10:22:54 AM
It's been quite the week in the world of fast food.
A new Taco Bell breakfast menu has been endorsed by a number of Ronald McDonalds. A teenager in Norway has gotten himself a McDonald's receipt tattoo.
And a YouTube competitive eater who goes by the moniker L.A. Beast has accepted Burger King's challenge to eat every burger on its menu in one sitting.
It cost $35.15 for the Beast to do so and the 10 items titled 6,370 total calories.
The 24 minutes it took the Beast to down each burger is condensed into a 12-minute video below, but be warned: just watching it may send you running to the bathroom for days.
How does this act compare to other impressive/disgusting eating feats?
Decide for yourself:
Taco Bell Breakfast Menu: Endorsed By Ronald McDonald!
3/27/2014 9:01:37 AM
Even Ronald McDonald digs the Taco Bell breakfast menu. Or at least 25 guys whose real names just happen to be Ronald McDonald are loving it.
Said guys are featured in a new ad that extols, at the expense of McDonald's, the Mexican fast-food chain's new breakfast program, which starts Thursday.
The ad begins with a narrator offering: "To show you just how much people are loving Taco Bell's all new breakfast, we asked some very special people."
Next, a handful of folks introduce themselves one-by-one, as Ronald McDonald. Each, of course, is a big fan of the new Taco Bell breakfast menu.
The ad ends with the group of 25 Rons seated together all saying unison: "My name is Ronald McDonald, and I love Taco Bell's new breakfast."
The ad, created by the agency Deutsch L.A., ends with the narrator stating the tagline: "Breakfast anybody can love ... even Ronald McDonald."
While the great ad has a big smile factor, there's nothing funny about the on-going fast food wars, with the Bell going hard after McDonald's market share.
"Customers have asked us to do breakfast because there's a sea of sameness in breakfast sandwiches," says Brian Niccol, president of Taco Bell.
Taco Bell's three key breakfast offerings:
- The Waffle Taco (waffle wrapped around sausage patty or bacon w/ eggs, cheese and syrup)
- A.M. Crunchwrap (scrambled eggs, hash browns, cheese and bacon or sausage in a tortilla)
- Cinnabon Delights (poppable Cinnabon treats)
The entire breakfast menu has 14 items that cost from $1 to $2.49. Most Taco Bells will open for breakfast at 7 a.m. this morning, or even earlier.
Duck Dynasty Season Finale: Jase & Missy Robertson on Touching Episode, Mia's Struggle
3/27/2014 8:37:47 AM
Duck Dynasty got serious last night with the show's fifth season finale.
The episode focused on Mia Robertson, 10. The daughter of Jase and Missy Robertson was born with a cleft palate and received corrective surgery.
If you watch Duck Dynasty online, you're "gonna go from gut-wrenching laughter to crying, because it's very sweet," Missy tells People of Mia's ordeal.
Adds Jase Robertson, the laid-back brother famous for his no-worries attitude: "I was never an emotional guy until I had a daughter who had problems."
"When you hand your daughter off to some doctors and you know they're going to cut on her, that's tough. I lost it. So much for not being emotional."
Were they worried about the public scrutiny Mia (seen with mom, dad and big brothers Reed and Cole above) might face as a result of the episode?
"Of course, that was a worry," says Jase. "There have been times when kids made fun of her for how she looks. We've had to have some serious talks about it."
The Robertsons formed the Mia Moo Fund, whose slogan is "Because Every Kid Deserves A Smile," to raise awareness and help children with similar problems.
"We hope after [Duck Dynasty Season 5 Episode 10], people will connect with us even more," says Missy. "I wrote a song with Gary Chapman about it, and Mia sings on it."
"It's called 'Angel Child' ... I hope it shows our hearts."
One of the biggest struggles of the past year for the family? The uproar after patriarch Phil Robertson's comments about race and homosexuality to GQ.
"For those of us who were there for the interview, we knew what was happening," says Jase, the second eldest of Phil's four sons. "I was uneasy right off the bat."
"We felt like the guy doing the interview kind of inflamed things and took them out of context. You don't have to agree with someone to love them."
"My dad loves all people, regardless of their race and sexual orientation. He said that in the interview, which went on for four hours. That didn't make the final story, of course."
Jase bristles slightly when the talk turns to race.
"That was just ridiculous," he says. "Everyone was made by God. That was the part that made us a little mad, to make it sound like my father is a racist."
"My dad is the most non-racist person I've ever been around. We were taught at an early age that you don't base any kind of opinion on people's external appearance."
He continues: "I've shed my blood in school, having fights taking up for kids who were different, who people made fun of. That's how we were raised."
Adds Missy: "I think this is good because it's gotten people to talk about some serious issues. Everything is an opportunity for learning and understanding."
Looking head to Duck Dynasty Season 6 this fall? "We're going to keep doing what we do," says Jase. "People will have their opinions about us."
"We're just trying to do the right thing. We're really thankful to the people who have supported us through everything. We have met a lot of great people."
"There are a lot of people with problems out there."
"Sometimes, we'll meet some of them who'll say 'I'm so glad your show is on, because despite my lowest moments, I have something to chuckle about.'"
"We're a healthy distraction, you know. That's what we want to be."
Norweigan Teenager Gets McDonald's Receipt Tattooed on Arm
3/27/2014 9:07:13 AM
We guess they do things differently in Norway.
An 18-year old resident of that country, Stian Ytterdahl, got a tattoo this week of a McDonald's receipt from his trip to that fast food chain on Monday.
Reports indicate that his friends forced him to do so as punishment for "being too active with the ladies."
This makes positively no sense, but if anything is gonna turn the opposite sex off, it's a permanent reminder that you're going home with a guy who frequents McDonald's.
"Now I'm a living billboard," Ytterdahl told the newspaper Romereskes Blad, "But I think all this is just fun. Maybe it won't be as fun when I'm 50 or 60 years, but it's my choice."
Quick note, Stian: This Mitt Romney face tattoo was also someone's choice at one point.
The same goes for this Family Guy tattoo that a fan got to honor Brian after he died on air... except that he was brought back to life a few weeks later. Oops!
Will Ytterdahl eventually regret his McDonald's-based ink? Probably. But it could be worse.
He could have gotten a giant Jesus Christ tattoo on his calf...
Jennifer Lopez Drops F Bomb on American Idol: OOPS!
3/27/2014 8:37:59 AM
Last night marked yet another mediocre performance episode of American Idol Season 13.
But at least Jennifer Lopez did all she could do to liven up the live proceedings... but dropping an F Bomb during one of her critiques!
The accidental incident took place when J. Lo was gushing over Jena Irene and her cover of Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life.
Lopez gave Irene props for sounding "phenomenal," but added that she yearned for the hopeful to be "more messy."
In describing how she wanted Irene to toss her hair around and go crazy, Lopez demonstrated this movement herself, which prompted Harry Connick Jr. to chant for his colleague to do another "hair flip."
The crowd then got into it and the censors sprung into action when J. Lo let out an audible curse in response.
It was all in good fun and if you blinked you may have missed it... but humorous the funny clip now:
Lopez covered her mouth immediately after letting the swear fly, while Connick announced, "That's Jenny from the block!"
The artist then completed her positive evaluation of Irene and likely wanted to crawl into a hole beneath the stage.
Really, though, Lopez can relax: Tom Hanks dropped an F Bomb on Good Morning America awhile back and the incident didn't exactly affect his career or his reputation.
Jon Gosselin: Kids "Forced" to Be on TV!
3/27/2014 9:30:45 AM
Kate Gosselin has decided it's time for her family to be back on TV.
Suffice it to say, an outraged Jon Gosselin doesn't see eye-to-eye.
Still fuming over the decision, saying that the eight kids are "being forced to be on TV," Jon is losing his mind over the new TLC special that will star the brood.
It's unclear if he has any means of bringing it to a halt, however.
"Jon thinks it's such a bad idea," a source close to the reality star now waiting tables to pay bills says. "He thinks that kids are being forced to be on TV."
Gosselin's issue? In order to stop paying child support for his brood, Jon signed away any rights to make decisions about their TV appearances.
So whatever complaints he has, there's not a lot he can do.
He still disagrees with the decision and will let people know it, along with his thoughts on his ex-wife, who he wishes would just f--king die already.
The source insists that "Jon has his kids' best interest at heart."
Meanwhile, Kate Gosselin dismissed Jon's complaints, saying:
"I don't let it affect me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion."
